In December 2019, European Directive 2019/1937, also known as Whistleblowing Directive, became effective, with the aim of protecting those who report wrongdoing or irregularities in companies or organizations. In February 2023, Law 2/2023 is finally approved, which establishes the mandatory implementation of a Whistleblowing System in all companies and organizations with 50 or more employees.

In case of not implementing, the established penalties range from 1.001 to 1.000.000€
